Denver Broncos begin roster cut as they move toward 53 by Sunday afternoon
The Broncos have begun cutting their roster down to 53 players, starting with eight releases Saturday including defensive linemen and offensive linemen mostly added during camp. Many cut players could return to the practice squad or rejoin the team later, as coach Sean Payton emphasized the fluidity of roster decisions. Denver still needs to make roughly 30 more moves before Sunday's deadline.
